Pimp My Stroller * Prototype Concept: “The Roddler”
Ok, our kids are well beyond the use of strollers and for the record we don’t normally frequent anything online that deals with baby clothing, toys or breast pumps…anymore. However, a recent post at “The Daily Stroll” pulled up this beauty! Mommies (and baby’s) can cruise in style in their own hot-rod influenced stroller called “The Roddler”, comes in a variety of cool street rod influenced colors, and with the necessary features such as; Pearlized and powder coated paint, DVD entertainment system, iPod dock, custom luggage, rim and tire options, suspension, built-in cup holders, Bluetooth with speaker phone and multifunction computerized display to start. Bop Top and seat coverings; Finished in your choice, consisting of supple ostrich, stingray, alligator, cow hide or Alcantara surfaces available in a host of colors and stitch combinations….Just to name a few… How come they didn’t have these when we had kids to drag across town?! Kids these day, they get the coolest stuff….!! This entry was posted on Sunday, September 23rd, 2007
Baby, Remember My Name: The Roddler By Kid Kustoms
I've been surfing the coverage of ABC Kids Expo from the likes of Baby Chic 101 and Babble, and so far, the biggest news seems to be the glitzy debut of The Roddler, Kid Kustoms' pimp-sweet stroller with the monocoque chassis, the lacquer paint job and the optional ostrich-skin upholstery. If The Roddler looks familiar, that's because it you knew it before it was famous. Back then, a whole month ago, when its Pinstripe Prep creators started leaking word of its chromed existence, it was known as the Limited Edition Harmony. But then, what good is Las Vegas if you can't totally reinvent yourself, change your name to something catchier, and become a huge, #$*%-ing star? Before she's through with this town The Roddler will be the freakin' Nomi Malone of strollers, baby. Or at least the Ginger McKenna, if this white leather-and-lime number's anything to go by. Either way, Whit at Babble reports that Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden have taken delivery of one of these "tasteful and affluent" rides. Though "tasteful" implies giving a damn what other people think, and "affluent" implies that they actually paid for it, and I'm not sure either is really accurate in The Roddler's case.

The Roddler: American Graffiti for Kids
We all know that stylish strollers are status symbols for the parents: as long as the seat is comfy, you could roll your kids around in an old soap box and they wouldn't care. The Roddler caters to the whims of one-upmanship with hot-rod style perambulators, complete with custom fenders, whitewall tires and the obligatory show-off price tag ($2,500 and up. Way up).
The buggies were dreamed up by Pinstripe Prep, and Iacono Designs, and are made (where else?) in California. And the workshop looks more Orange County Chopper than McLaren, with tattoos and 'taches aplenty. I have to admit, though, that one look at these makes me all broody. Maybe it's worth having kids after all.

‘Cause Babies Need To Floss Too
If you dig the fin styling of the classic Caddys, Buicks, Chevys, and Olds cars you’ll certainly appreciate the level of detail found in the Roddler. The manufacturer Kid Kustoms promises that “Your kids will boast the coolest wheels on the boardwalk.” Born and bred in California, each model based on “the Roddler” model platform and can either be ordered as stock, or with a short lead time can be custom tailored. Pricing starts at $2500 and features include an iPod Dock, pearl paint finishes and more.

Kid Kustoms The Roddler

The Roddler as you can already tell, isn't just any stroller, The Roddler features design aesthetics that is one part 50s boulevard cruiser and another part custom chopper. Pimped-Out Stroller for Uber-Rich Kids
KidKustoms has designed a masterpiece with its new custom stroller called “The Roddler” meant for rich kids. The luxurious stroller has BornRich written all over it. No, it’s not studded with diamonds or something if that’s what you think! The aircraft-inspired design is constructed likewise to give your little toddler a high. The Roddler features lightweight monocoque chassis construction which can be customized with custom pearl paint jobs with pinstripes, custom leather seats and tops available in a host of colors and stitch combinations (ostrich, alligator or stingray), custom rims and tires, to name a few. But, apart from its luxury looks and feel the stroller packs-in high-tech goodies to keep the parents entertained too while taking their infants for a stroll. Yes..the stroller can be customized to include a bluetooth speakerphone and Caller ID, DVD players, and ipod docking station..(only if they could have made it bulletproof for you don’t want any troubles..right!). Besides speakerphone and iPod dock is fine, but a DVD player (unless you are prepared to meet any untoward incident hooked on to that on road driving your kid). But nonetheless it’s a hit already. The Roddler is out in the market since this past week and is available for a starting price of $2,500 depending upon customization.
